Volunteers are welcome at the Community Food Bank to fulfill court-mandated community service hours. Community Service volunteers must be 16 or older; furthermore, we do not accept volunteers who have been charged with violent offenses such as domestic violence, assault, sexual harassment, sexual abuse, disorderly conduct, armed robbery, or aggravated assault. For more information, questions, requirements, or to schedule court-ordered volunteer shifts, please contact our Client Volunteer Services Supervisor.

The Community Food Bank needs volunteer leads to help distribute shelf-stable and fresh groceries to families and seniors in our community! Pre-load shopping carts with groceries to distribute to clients using a rotation method. Disinfect and sanitize shopping carts before being re-filled.

Dress code: Read dress code requirements below for volunteering!

Face mask that covers the nose and mouth are OPTIONAL Comfortable, closed-toe and closed–heel shoes Food-safe clothing Shirts must cover armpits, abdomen, and chest (no tank tops) Shorts should not be too tight or short No sandals

Safety Requirements: All volunteers must be aware of and uphold the safety expectations in order to volunteer. Note: no lockers for storing personal items are available -- please leave in your vehicle or at home.

Face masks are OPTIONAL during your shift Volunteers must maintain a distance of 6 feet between themselves and others to ensure safe social distancing practices Regularly wash/sanitize your hands before, during, and after your shift (including breaks) Volunteers will observe touchless distribution practices to prevent harm to self and others
